Yan Fridman
Yan Fridman is a consulting actuary with the New York office. He joined Milliman in 2021.
Experience
As a Milliman consultant, Yan focuses on transaction-related work (M&A and reinsurance). He also provides guidance on annuity regulations, accounting, valuation, risk management aspects, and rating agency considerations. Yan has 20+ years of experience in major insurance companies, including Great American, Sun Life, and ING. In his last job before joining Milliman, Yan led the development of several reinsurance treaties seeking to improve the cedant's capital position and competitiveness and the methodology determination for U.S. GAAP LDTI. Yan has also led an actuarial transformation initiative for a large insurer. He has extensive valuation experience focusing primarily on annuities. While working in the industry, Yan was a member of the ACLI Actuarial Committee where he focused his efforts on the treatment of C3 risk within the RBC framework.
